The Lucky 13 Artist Fund is dedicated to helping members of the body art industry who are experiencing tough times due to unforeseen circumstances. We understand that life can be unpredictable, and emergencies such as medical crises, natural disasters, and accidents can happen to anyone, regardless of their profession. That's why we are here to provide support to Tattoo Artists, Body Modification Specialists, Body Piercers, PMU Artists, Apprentices, and Shop Owners when they need it most.
Our goal is to offer a helping hand during challenging times by providing funds, supplies, and resources that can make a real difference in the lives of those affected. Whether it's a broken wrist that prevents an artist from working or a devastating fire that destroys a shop, we want to be there to offer relief and support. We believe that by coming together as a community, we can make a positive impact on the lives of those who are facing difficult times.
What type of assistance or relief do you provide?
At the Lucky 13 Artist Fund, we understand that each situation is unique, and that's why we evaluate every relief package on a case-by-case basis. We believe that every artist's needs are different, and we want to provide the most impactful assistance possible in each situation.
Our relief packages may include a variety of forms of support, including monetary donations, promotional support, or supplies donated by our participating companies. For example, we may provide financial assistance to cover medical bills, rent, or other essential expenses, or we may offer promotional support to help an artist get back on their feet after a crisis. We may also donate supplies such as tattoo ink, needles, or other necessary tools to help an artist get back to work.
We work closely with our participating companies and donors to ensure that we provide the best possible support to artists in need. We understand that every artist's situation is different, and we are committed to providing personalized assistance to help them get through tough times.
Who makes up the Lucky 13 Artist Fund?

Will every submission receive relief?
At the Lucky 13 Artist Fund, our goal is to provide assistance and support to as many artists as possible who are experiencing unexpected challenges. However, due to limited resources and the volume of submissions we receive, it is not always possible to provide relief to every applicant/nomination.
We evaluate each request on a case-by-case basis and prioritize those who are in the greatest need. Our decisions are based on a variety of factors, including the nature of the situation, the impact on the artist's ability to work, and the availability of resources.
While we cannot guarantee that every submission will receive relief, we want all artists to know that we are committed to supporting the body art community as best we can. We encourage you to submit your request for assistance, and we will do our best to evaluate your situation and provide whatever support we can.
Can I nominate someone else to receive relief?
Yes! At the Lucky 13 Artist Fund, we understand that not everyone is comfortable asking for help, even when they need it most. That's why we offer a nomination process that allows members of the body art community to nominate someone else to receive relief.
If you know of an artist who is facing unexpected challenges and could benefit from our assistance, we encourage you to complete our nomination form here (LINK TO NOMINATION FORM). We will review every nomination we receive and evaluate the situation to determine if the individual is eligible for assistance.
We understand that nominations are a sensitive matter, and we treat every submission with the utmost respect and confidentiality. Our goal is to provide relief to those who need it most, and we appreciate your help in identifying individuals who could benefit from our assistance.
I’m not involved in the body modification industry, can I apply for relief?
We understand that emergencies can happen to anyone, regardless of their profession or background. However, the Lucky 13 Artist Fund focuses its efforts on providing assistance to those within the body art industry, including Tattoo Artists, Body Modification Specialists, Body Piercers, PMU Artists, Apprentices, and Shop Owners in need.
While we would love to help everyone who is experiencing a time of tragedy, we have a limited amount of resources and must prioritize our efforts to ensure that we can make the most significant impact possible within our industry.
If you are not involved in the body modification industry and are experiencing a time of tragedy, we encourage you to explore other resources that may be better suited to your needs. There are many organizations and charities that offer support and assistance to individuals and families facing unexpected challenges, and we encourage you to explore these resources to find the help you need.
I submitted for relief, when will I hear back?
We understand that when emergencies strike, time is of the essence, and relief is needed as quickly as possible. We want to assure you that every relief request we receive is reviewed by a committee consisting of members of each of our funding partners to ensure that we can provide the most impactful relief possible.
While we strive to respond to every submission as quickly as possible, our response time may fluctuate based on the volume of submissions received. However, we want you to know that we are committed to providing a response to every artist who has submitted a request for assistance within 7-14 business days of their original submission.
